        <jats:abstract>
This book addresses scientific communication as an endeavor that goes beyond the transmission of information, framing it as the conveyance of scientific thinking itself. It examines two core circles of scholarly communication: internal communication within the scientific community through peer-reviewed publication, and external communication with the public, media, and policymakers. The work aims to equip academics and researchers across science, medicine, engineering, and related fields to extend the reach of their specialized knowledge beyond laboratory walls and journal pages. Comprising ten chapters, the book spans the foundations and mechanisms of academic publishing, oral presentations and poster sessions, community engagement, media relations, writing for public science platforms, academic digital identity, countering misinformation, science communication during crises, the science–policy interface, and core professional competencies including time management, networking, and research integrity. The central thesis of this second edition is that effective science communication grants the audience an enduring epistemic immunity—teaching them how to think—rather than delivering a transient piece of information.
